These Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs are a delightful twist on classic apple pie. Crispy on the outside, with a warm, gooey apple filling inside, these bite-sized treats are perfect for a sweet snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough:

  • 2 cans Pillsbury Country biscuits (10 pieces per can) or 1 can of Grands biscuits

Filling:

  • 1 cup roughly chopped apple pie filling

Topping:

  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Open the biscuit cans and roll each biscuit into a 4-inch circle with a rolling pin. If using Grands biscuits, split each biscuit into two layers.
  2. Assemble the Bombs: Place 1 tablespoon of apple pie filling in the center of each dough circle. Pull the edges over the filling and pinch to seal. Roll gently into a ball. Place the apple pie bombs in the air fryer basket, spaced about 1 inch apart. Cook in batches.
  3. Bake: Close the air fryer and set the temperature to 380°F. Bake until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Prepare the Topping: While the first batch is baking, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  5. Continue Baking: Transfer the baked apple pie bombs to a cooling rack and repeat the baking process with the remaining bombs.
  6. Finish with Butter and Cinnamon Sugar: Dip the warm bombs in melted butter to coat, then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Return them to the cooling rack and continue with the remaining bombs.

Notes

  • Be careful when sealing the dough to prevent the filling from leaking during cooking.
  • Adjust the amount of cinnamon sugar coating to suit your taste preferences.
