Banana Bread:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Cinnamon Swirl:

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a mixing bowl, mash bananas and stir in melted butter until smooth.
  3. Add remaining wet ingredients: Add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Incorporate dry ingredients: Stir in baking soda, salt, and flour until just combined.
  5. Prepare cinnamon swirl: In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Layer batter and cinnamon sugar: Pour half of the banana batter into the pan, sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar; repeat with the rest of the batter and cinnamon sugar.
  7. Swirl the cinnamon sugar: Gently swirl the cinnamon sugar through the batter using a knife.
  8. Bake: Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool and serve: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
