For the Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (mixed with 1 tablespoon water to thicken, if needed)

For the Rice:

  • 1 1/2 cups long-grain white rice
  • 3 cups water or chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Chicken Start by seasoning the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear chicken until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  2. Step 2: Cook the Aromatics In the same pan, sauté onions, add garlic and cook until fragrant.
