Ingredients

Scale

For the Spicy Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Ramen Bowl:

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup sliced green onions
  • ½ cup shredded carrots (optional, for crunch)
  • 1 soft-boiled egg, halved (for topping)
  • Sesame seeds & nori strips, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate & Cook the Spicy Chicken: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Add the sliced chicken strips and toss well to coat evenly. Let it marinate for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes until the chicken is golden and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned. Stir in the heavy cream and chicken broth, whisking constantly. Season with salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Let the sauce simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until it slightly thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  3. Cook the Ramen Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes, until tender but still firm. Drain the noodles well and toss with sesame oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.
  4. Assemble the Ramen Bowls: Divide the cooked ramen noodles evenly into serving bowls. Spoon generous amounts of the creamy garlic sauce over the noodles. Top each bowl with the spicy chicken strips, sliced green onions, shredded carrots, and a halved soft-boiled egg. Garnish with sesame seeds and nori strips. Serve immediately to enjoy the ramen at its best.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper and chili powder to control the heat level according to your preference.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut milk for a lighter or dairy-free version.
  • Soft-boiled eggs can be replaced with poached or fried eggs as desired.
  • For an extra boost of flavor, add a splash of soy sauce or chili oil when serving.
  • Leftover chicken and sauce can be stored separately in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
