Sauce
- 1 ¾ cups chicken broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon honey
- ½ chicken bouillon cube
- ½ teaspoon EACH: onion powder, oregano, basil, parsley
Chicken/Other
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Salt/Pepper
- 2 teaspoons parsley
- 1–2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¾ cup dry white wine
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Combine the sauce ingredients: In a large measuring cup, combine chicken broth, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, honey, chicken bouillon cube, onion powder, oregano, basil, and parsley. Set aside.
- Slice and pound the chicken: Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create thinner slices. Pound them to ½ inch thickness and season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear the chicken until golden, then set aside.
- Deglaze the skillet: Add wine to the skillet, scrape up browned bits, and cook with garlic until reduced by half.
- Make the sauce: Add butter and flour, then slowly add the sauce mixture. Simmer for 8 minutes.
- Finish the sauce: Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice until smooth.
- Combine chicken and sauce: Add chicken back to the skillet, coat with sauce, and heat through.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables.
