A hearty and flavorful dish combining ground beef, tender potatoes, and melted cheddar cheese. This Ground Beef and Potatoes recipe is a comforting and satisfying meal perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Ground Beef:

  • 1 pound ground beef

Potatoes:

  • 3 large potatoes (peeled and diced)

Onion and Garlic:

  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

Other:

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess fat and return the beef to the skillet.
  2. Sauté the Onion and Garlic: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.
  3. Add the Potatoes and Seasonings: Stir in the diced potatoes, beef broth, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the mixture simmer over medium-low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender and fully cooked.
  4. Melt the Cheese: Once the potatoes are cooked through, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Cover the skillet again for a few minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
