Homemade Big Mac Wraps are a delicious and convenient twist on the classic Big Mac burger, wrapped in a soft tortilla instead of a bun. Featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh lettuce, cheddar cheese, onions, pickles, and a creamy special sauce, these wraps offer all the iconic flavors in a handheld, low-carb format perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Wraps

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (or your choice of protein)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 large tortillas or wraps
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced

For the Special Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sugar-free ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the Special Sauce: In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sugar-free ketchup, yellow mustard, white vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth and refrigerate while you prepare the rest of the ingredients to let the flavors meld.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Break it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess grease to keep the wraps from becoming oily.
  3. Prepare the Wraps: Lay each tortilla or wrap flat on a clean surface. Spread a spoonful of the special sauce down the center of each wrap evenly to add flavor and moisture.
  4. Assemble: Add a portion of the cooked ground beef over the special sauce, then layer with shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions, and sliced pickles evenly to capture all signature Big Mac tastes.
  5. Wrap and Secure: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll tightly from the bottom up to create a compact wrap. Secure with toothpicks if needed to prevent unrolling.
  6. Optional Toasting: For a crispy finish, grill or toast the wraps in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and slightly crispy. Remove toothpicks before serving.
  7. Serve: Slice the wraps in half for easy eating and serve with extra special sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey, chicken, or plant-based meat alternatives to suit dietary preferences.
  • Use low-carb or whole wheat tortillas for a healthier option.
  • Make extra special sauce and store it in the fridge for up to a week.
  • For added crunch, add shredded carrots or thinly sliced cucumbers.
  • Wraps can be made ahead and refrigerated; reheat in a skillet for best texture.
