Fresh Peach Cobbler:
- 4 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned, drained)
Batter:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (divided)
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Place butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish and melt in the oven.
- In a bowl, mix flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk to form a batter.
- Pour batter over melted butter in the dish — do not stir.
- In another bowl, mix sliced peaches with remaining sugar and cinnamon.
- Spoon peaches evenly over batter. Again, do not stir.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
- Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
