For the Cake:
- 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla cake mix
- 1 cup (240 mL) water
- 1/2 cup (120 mL) vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
For the Cheesecake Layer:
- 1/2 cup (50 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Topping:
- 1 cup (240 mL) milk
- 1/2 cup (90 g) chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Prepare the Cake: In a large bowl, mix together the vanilla cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
- Make the Cheesecake Layer: In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread this mixture over the batter in the pan.
- Add Remaining Layers: Spoon the remaining cake batter over the cream cheese layer. In another bowl, mix the cocoa powder and milk, then drizzle this over the cake batter. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool before serving.
