A delightful and simple dessert featuring sweet, sautéed peaches coated in brown sugar and cinnamon, served with rich, homemade whipped cream. This Peaches and Cream recipe combines creamy texture with warm, caramelized fruit for a perfect finish to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Whipped Cream

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (cold)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Sautéed Peaches

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 ripe peaches (washed, pitted, and sliced into 1/8″ slices)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare Whipped Cream: Using a hand mixer or stand mixer with a whisk attachment, whisk the cold heavy whipping cream on high speed until it becomes bubbly and then thickens.
  2. Whip to Stiff Peaks: Continue whisking until the cream holds stiff peaks, meaning it doesn’t collapse when lifting the whisk or spoon.
  3. Add Sugar: Add the granulated sugar and whisk briefly once more to incorporate it into the cream, then set aside or refrigerate until ready to serve.
  4. Cook Peaches: In a small skillet over medium-low heat, melt the unsalted butter.
  5. Sauté Fruit: Add the sliced peaches, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon to the skillet. Stir occasionally, cooking for about 10 minutes until the peach slices are soft and coated in melted sugar.
  6. Serve: Immediately spoon the warm sautéed peaches into bowls or glasses and top generously with the freshly whipped cream.

Notes

  • For best results, use cold heavy cream to achieve a stable whipped cream faster.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar in the whipped cream according to your personal sweetness preference.
  • Ripe peaches work best for sweetness and softness; if peaches are not very sweet, consider adding a little extra brown sugar.
  • Serve immediately after cooking peaches to enjoy their warm, tender texture.
  • You can garnish with a sprig of mint or a sprinkle of cinnamon for added flavor and presentation.
